Deliberate Practice is a way to get better at learning new skills and improving current skills. Using Deliberate Practice in Testing shows how we as testers can improve our current skill set and use those improvements towards attaining higher skill sets.
This talk will discuss and show examples of deliberate practice with testing skills. When new testers are hired at companies, they are usually expected to learn “on the job” and acquire new skills by “doing” the job. However, they are rarely trained in a way that stretches their abilities and gets them out of their comfort zone.
